Ópera de Tenerife approach L’elisir d’amore to twelve municipalities of Tenerife, through dissemination conferences that will allow all the public to know the ins and outs of this title: from the main features of the work until the anecdotes related to the author, the characters and the historical context.
These talks will get under way tomorrow in the Municipal Library of Vilaflor, from 17:00 hours, and will last until the 22nd of October, two days before the staging at the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife in L’elisir d’amore, which supposed the beginning of the opera season. These talks will be free to access until complete capacity, and will have an approximate duration of 60 minutes.
This cultural tour includes fifteen meetings that will take place in different facilities of the Insular Network of Public Libraries. After Vilaflor, Opera in route you will arrive at Puerto de la Cruz (September 19) and Güímar (day 24). The gatherings of the month of October will start on day 1 in the library of Tabaiba (The Rosary) and will continue in The Christian (day 4), the library Adrián Alemán de La Laguna (day 8), the library Antonio Bello in San Juan de la Rambla (day 10), Candelaria (day 11), Garachico (day 15), the State library in Santa Cruz (day 16), the Cultural Centre, Home of the Chestnut of La Victoria de Acentejo (day 17), Adeje (day 18) and will end on the 22nd of October in La Orotava.
Opera in Route is part of the communication strategy of Ópera de Tenerife and Tenerife Auditorium for the new season 2019-2020 and well diffusion lyrical, will value the ability to drive the project economics tenerife from their productions that represent a boost to the local cultural industry.
L’elisir d’amore from Giacomo Donizetti is a production that is located within the academy of high specialization Opera (e)Studio. It is about the comic opera’s most famous composer, thanks to unforgettable melodies as ‘A furtive tear’, which will be represented on the days 24, 25 and 26 of October at 19:30 hours and Sunday the 27th at 18:00 hours at the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife. This co-production of Ópera de Tenerife, Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre is funded through the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.
The production will feature musical direction by Antonio Mendez and the stage direction of Pablo Maritano with a cast of artists selected in the auditions have been held for the seventh edition of Opera (e)Studio in Bologna, Tbilisi, Madrid and Tenerife.
