The tenor César Arrieta and Klodjan Kaҫani put voice to the role of Nemorino, the young peasant, in love with Adina in L’elisir d’amore, one of the most performed operas and acclaimed composer bergamo Gaetano Donizetti, who will be responsible for opening the season 2019/2020 of Ópera de Tenerife with four functions carried out by members of Opera (e)Studio.

The first representation of this co-production of Ópera de Tenerife, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre, will take place tomorrow, [jueves 24] and will continue on Friday [día 25], Saturday [día 26] and Sunday [día 27]. All the functions of this project, which this year features with funding from the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission, will take place in the Sala Sinfónica del Auditorio de Tenerife, at 19:30 hours except the last, which will begin at 18:00 hours.

Both singers will interpret the role on alternate days: Kaҫani up scene tomorrow and Saturday, while Arrieta will the Friday and Sunday. Venezuelan singer, César Arrieta, is formed from a very young age in the National System of Orchestras and Choirs, Youth and Children of his native city and at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid. Although it is the first time you step on the island, it does have references about the work that is done in Opera de Tenerife for “the high artistic level of the productions.”

The tenor met the program Opera (e)Studio for a few friends who participated in Don Pasquale (2016) and decided to apply to the current edition for the selected title. The singer assures that Nemorino “is a role of the header of any tenor”. For Kaҫani, which comes to participate in the production of Adriana Lecouvreur at the Fondazione Arena di Verona, as Arrieta, this is the first time that facing to L’elisir d’amore, a title that highlights the complexity of the character of Nemorino and puts the emphasis on the evolution of the character over the course of the work.

These two young tenors, along with eight other singers more, they came to the island to form part of the seventh edition of Opera (e)Studio, the academy of refinement and artistic integral for singers. This training, directed by Giulio Zappa since its foundation, it is distributed in different master classes with professionals of the first international level and continues with the usual trials of an opera production, the stage at which you are currently located. L’elisir d’amore supposed to be the start of the season and will feature musical direction of Antonio Méndez, chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife.
